Upgrades have been completed to the fiber lines that keep Mifflin County Wireless customers connected to the world. We currently have multiple fiber lines leaving the county for redundancy. During peak internet usage times, they were being pushed to their limits with the number of new customers switching to our internet service, so it was time to complete some upgrades.

We apologize if you are a current customer and noticed any service interruptions last night or early this morning! Mifflin County Wireless was making the final changes needed to complete the fiber upgrades for your internet service. We know running a network and service like this can be complex, and they work tirelessly to make sure it is running smoothly. We are thankful for their quick response to identify issues when they happen!

Our capacity has been doubled on our primary fiber that feeds the core network for Mifflin County, and we are ready to upgrade it again as more people make the switch. Our friends at Mifflin County Wireless had to jump into action to address a couple of issues caused by the short-lived but fierce storm. A generator was deployed to our core site in Lewistown to deal with a partial power outage, and a microwave antenna had to be realigned in Belleville.

Thankfully Cody at Mifflin County Wireless keeps his tower climbing gear handy. Once the storm was over and the problem was identified on the Belleville tower, he headed up to make the necessary repairs as the sun was setting to restore your internet service.

We understand how important your internet connection is and will always take immediate action to correct any outages for you. Thank you for your patience as service was being restored last night!

Cody from Mifflin County Wireless has been working on top of an 80′ silo located at the intersection of Ertley Road and Old Stage Road to install equipment that will serve the farm it is located on and all the neighboring homes that can see this silo. This type of project is only possible with community involvement and support!

A special thank you to John Wray and Chris Legg for their support and for making sure everyone in the neighborhood knows about the equipment being installed on the silo. 

It was great to see everyone last night! We are grateful the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce is able to organize these in-person events once again. Our friends at Mifflin County Wireless worked extremely hard to host this event at their offices. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by so many great people in our business and community! ​

Have you seen the BIG yellow safe along 655 between Allensville and Belleville? This is the home of D&R Firearms. Last week in one of our nasty thunderstorms, they took a direct lightning strike. Fortunately, no one was hurt except many of the electronics in their business, including their slow DSL internet. 

They were already on the schedule to get high-speed internet from Mifflin County Wireless, but our installation team managed to move some things around to help get them back and running with new high-speed internet service. We had to get a little creative for this installation by installing our antenna across the street with a small repeater.
