ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – May 18, 2010 – DISH Network L.L.C., America’s fastest-growing pay-TV provider, now leads the largest satellite and cable companies in the U.S. in customer satisfaction, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

In this year’s survey, DISH Network scored a 71 for customer satisfaction – a significant seven-point increase from 2009 and well above the 2010 pay-TV industry average of 66. DISH Network scored three points higher than DirecTV, four points higher than Cox, 10 points higher than Comcast and Time Warner, and 11 points higher than Charter. Phone companies Verizon and AT&T rated highest in the category with scores of 73 and 72, respectively.

In addition to receiving the highest scores for customer satisfaction among satellite and cable companies, DISH Network topped satellite and cable providers in customer loyalty and perceived value. DISH Network also received the fewest complaints in the entire industry for the second year in a row, and advanced in areas of customer expectations and perceived quality, with scores above the industry average.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index is a national economic indicator of customer evaluations of the quality of products and services available to household consumers in the United States. The national index is updated each quarter and month with new measures for different sectors of the economy. The overall ACSI score factors in scores from more than 200 companies in 44 industries and from government agencies over the previous four quarters. Beginning in June, DIRECTV Will Debut ESPN 3D with 2010 FIFA World Cup Matches 

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., and BRISTOL, Conn., Mar 29, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Continuing to lead the 3D revolution by offering customers new dimensions in sports programming, DIRECTV will add ESPN 3D, the industry’s first 3D sports television network, to its upcoming 3D lineup that will offer three dedicated 3D channels, including DIRECTV’s newly named linear 3D channel, N3D(TM) powered by Panasonic. Launching in June, millions of DIRECTV HD customers will have access to ESPN’s entire 3D programming lineup, including up to 25 2010 FIFA World Cup matches.

LEWISTOWN, PA – For the fourth consecutive year, One-Stop Communications of Pa, Inc. will sponsor the Big Bothers Big Sisters of Juniata Valley’s annual fundraiser Bowl for Kids’ Sake. 

This bowling fundraiser will take place on March 26-28 at Lewistown Lanes and The Moose Family Center.  Any team of five people can enter by calling the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 248-4034.  Teams who raise enough money will bowl, receive a t-shirt and be eligible to win prizes.

It cannot be denied that talking and texting on a wireless phone while driving is dangerous, and Pennsylvania legislators are one step closer to making it illegal, too.   

On January 26th, a bill was overwhelmingly approved in the House of Representatives to ban talking and texting while driving.  If it is approved in the Senate, the Governor has already agreed to sign the bill and make it law.  Currently, the bill imposes a $50 fine for violations, except those made in emergency situations.  The legislation does allow drivers to use hands-free devices to operate their phones, and GPS systems would also still be legal. 

Three PA localities already have hands-free driving laws in place.  They are:  Conshohocken, Hilltown Township, and Lebanon.   

One-Stop Communications highly recommends that drivers avoid distracted driving.
