Ask anyone that owns a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and they will tell you it has changed the way they watch TV.   A DVR will allow you to pause and rewind live TV, although the best features come into play with the ability to record shows.  All DVRs have a built-in scheduling system to automatically record your favorites even when you are not home, without the hassle of additional equipment or tapes.  You can also search for a particular show title or movie and schedule the DVR to record it several days in advance.

Once a show has been recorded, you can watch it any time that is convenient for you; there is no need to miss any of your favorite shows!  The best part about watching a program that has been recorded is that you can fast forward through commercials.   A thirty-minute show typically only takes 15-20 minutes to watch without regular commercial interruptions.

Both DISH Network and DIRECTV offer great DVRs with their programming, usually without any upfront cost to purchase the equipment.  It has never been easier get a DVR.  Be sure to check out the latest promotions at www.onestop.biz.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – May 18, 2010 – DISH Network L.L.C., America’s fastest-growing pay-TV provider, now leads the largest satellite and cable companies in the U.S. in customer satisfaction, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

In this year’s survey, DISH Network scored a 71 for customer satisfaction – a significant seven-point increase from 2009 and well above the 2010 pay-TV industry average of 66. DISH Network scored three points higher than DirecTV, four points higher than Cox, 10 points higher than Comcast and Time Warner, and 11 points higher than Charter. Phone companies Verizon and AT&T rated highest in the category with scores of 73 and 72, respectively.

In addition to receiving the highest scores for customer satisfaction among satellite and cable companies, DISH Network topped satellite and cable providers in customer loyalty and perceived value. DISH Network also received the fewest complaints in the entire industry for the second year in a row, and advanced in areas of customer expectations and perceived quality, with scores above the industry average.

“DISH Network’s dramatically-improved ranking in the ACSI survey is testimony to the considerable strides we made over the past year to re-establish our leadership in customer service,” said Charlie Ergen, Chairman, President and CEO of DISH Network. “We know our customers have many choices when it comes to TV, which is why we remain committed to providing them with best-in-class service at an unmatched value.”

The American Customer Satisfaction Index is a national economic indicator of customer evaluations of the quality of products and services available to household consumers in the United States. The national index is updated each quarter and month with new measures for different sectors of the economy. The overall ACSI score factors in scores from more than 200 companies in 44 industries and from government agencies over the previous four quarters. The Index was founded at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and is produced by ACSI LLC. ACSI can be found on the web at www.theacsi.org.
